Inbound Clerk – Recycling
Category – non-exempt
Type – hourly

Basic Function: Is responsible for all aspects of Green Path under the general direction of the Commercial Services Director. Is supervised and evaluated by the Commercial Services Director.

Specific Responsibilities:

Receives, stores, and processes all recyclables and prepares recyclables for delivery to brokers.

Operates forklift, scale, balers, box truck, van and trailers.

Maintains safe and orderly warehouse space.

Identifies and captures what donated equipment has resale value, what equipment needs to be repaired, and/or what equipment is to be de-manufactured.

Works with recyclers and trucking companies

Coordinates and prioritizes multiple job tasks, broker schedules, and work activities.

Communicates with customers, public and co-workers in person, via phone, via e-mails, etc. in a professional timely manner.

Documents and organizes all donated items.

9. Safeguards the premises, merchandise, material, and equipment under his/her care at all times. Seeks to reduce the possibility of pilferage or burglary.

Conducts inventory control and ordering of supplies for Green Path.

Assists and trains individuals receiving services in obtaining job skills.

Completes all annual training requirements.

Promotes special events and may be required to adjust work hours for special events.

May have varied schedule with nights and weekends being required.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience
Verifiable documentation of education. High School graduate (or equivalency). Certified fork-truck driver and the ability to obtain a Class C, non-CDL Driver’s License is required. Current Direct Support Persons (DSP) qualifications a plus.

Language and Skills
This is a skilled position. This job requires good verbal communication skills including the ability to read and write. Candidate must successfully complete the reading comprehension portion of the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE). Must be able to deal with problems and resolve conflicts.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
