2017 Festival Of Trees Video

Family and friends, Pathway Services is very excited to host The 30th Annual Festival of Trees beginning Friday, November 16 through Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Pathway Plaza.   The theme is “The Magic of Christmas”.

Designer entries of trees, wreaths and centerpieces will be displayed throughout the entire building.  During the event, several activities are planned:  visit with Santa and writing a letter to Santa, cookie decorating and activities for children, gift shop, candy, cookies, concessions and a variety of entertainment.  There will be a small fee for cookie decorating and children activities.

Anyone wishing to enter a designer tree – 6.5’ or 4’; wreath – 30”; or a centerpiece, please call 217-479-2300.  There is no fee to design a tree, wreath or centerpiece.  The artificial trees and wreaths are provided by the Festival of Trees / Pathway Services.  Designers are responsible for providing all materials used to decorate their designer item.

Our new feature to the Festival of Trees is handmade gingerbread structures.  Children and adults are invited to design their own entry.

Gingerbread Structure (specific instruction guidelines available)

Gingerbread structures are handmade and entirely edible.   Gingerbread structures constructed of all edible materials can be bid on through silent auction during the Festival of Trees.  Children and adults are invited to create an entry for the Festival of Trees.  Designers will be listed in program booklet and each structure will have identification signage.

 

Registration forms for your designer entry(ies) are available on our website at www.pathwayservices.org by clicking on the “Festival of Tree” button.    Or if you wish, contact our office at (217) 479-2300 and we can mail you the registration entry form(s) you need.  Please return the form no later than Monday, November 6, 2018.

 

On Sunday, November 18 at 2:30 p.m. the designer trees, wreaths and centerpiece entries will be auctioned.  Gingerbread structures will be purchased through Silent Auction.    All proceeds from the Festival of Trees benefit the unfunded needs of individuals with disabilities receiving services at Pathway Services.

Scheduled Hours:

Friday, Nov. 16:     5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 17:  9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 18:  11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.;   Auction of Designer Entries:  2:30 p.m.

Pathway Services is pleased to continue the long history of this event in Jacksonville and we hope to add our special touch to make this event very unique.
